Press Release February 1 2013: Ventura Global Health Project Announces 2013 Grantees
Ventura Global Health Project (VGHP), a start-up non profit organization dedicated to enabling local doctors in their service to humanity, today announced their 2013 grantees:
Grantees: Dr. Michelle Yates and Dr. Kavi Simpson
Dr. Michelle Yates and Dr. Kavi Simpson, 2011 graduates of the Ventura Family Medicine Residency, have been awarded a $30,000 grant from Ventura Global Health Project to offset living expenses in their first year of volunteer practice in Soddo, Ethiopia.
Dr. Zachary self, a 2011 graduate of the Ventura Family Medicine Residency, has been awarded a $20,000 grant from Ventura Global Health Project to purchase medical equipment for his start-up medical clinic in Santo Tomas La Union, Guatemala.

Ventura Family Medicine Residency (VFMR), affiliated with Ventura County Medical Center and UCLA School of Medicine, has been awarded a $20,000 grant to support travel expenses for physicians participating in the new “Global Health Track” curriculum.
